Kim has spent more than 20 years building spaces where children can move, grow, and feel supported. After founding several beloved Quad Cities programs—including Above the Barre Dance Academy, Evolve Gymnastics & Tumbling, Powerhouse Cheer and Dance, and Apple Tree Beginnings—her heart kept returning to one idea: families with littles deserve a place of their own to build their village well.

The Mini Movement Center was born from that belief.

A cozy corner of the world where babies, toddlers, and preschoolers can explore freely—and where parents can breathe, connect, and feel seen.

We could list all the incredible things Kim has accomplished in her four decades in the dance world, but what matters most here is simple: Kim believes in joyful movement, supportive community, and creating environments where every child (and every caregiver) feels welcomed exactly as they are.

She lives in Bettendorf with her husband, Rob, their beautiful teenage kids, Sam and Maicey, and a whole village of bonus family who continue to inspire every space she creates.

She’s so glad you found your way here.
